Overview

Day 1. Salvador de Bahia

With a rich Afro-Brazilian heritage, Salvador, the capital of Bahia, is a vibrant city where African and South American cultures blend. Salvador served as Brazil's first capital from 1549 to 1763, and its UNESCO-listed historic centre, Pelourinho, bursts with cobblestone streets and colourful colonial buildings. Jorge Amado, a beloved literary figure, is celebrated at his former home, now the museum A Casa do Rio Vermelho

Day 2. Itacare

Itacaré, a charming coastal town in southern Bahia, has miles of pristine white sand beaches luring surfers and bodyboarders. The town's laidback charm is evident in its vibrant cobblestone streets which resonate with lively Afro-Brazilian beats pouring from local bars, complemented by the rhythmic movements of capoeira dancers showcasing their martial art skills. Artisan shops and eateries serving up diverse cuisines complete the scene

Itacaré Walking Tour

Start your walk on Itacaré's famous Concha Beach, a global surfing hotspot. Once a cocoa hub, the city reinvented itself as a surf destination in the 1980s. Stroll through Fisherman's Bay to São Miguel square and the historic centre with a 1723 Jesuit church, past Portuguese colonial and cocoa barons' mansions. Discover vibrant Pituba Street and Rua Pedro Longo, alive with Samba tunes, street art and bustling cafés. Then, relax on the beach.

Embark on a scenic 35 km drive to the Villa Rosa cacao farm, where tradition meets sustainability. As you wander through lush plantations, you’ll discover the cabruca system, a unique method of cultivating cacao under native Atlantic Forest vegetation, ensuring both biodiversity and quality. From the fermentation and drying of cacao almonds to the final artisanal touch, witness every step in crafting premium chocolate. Your experience culminates in a visit to the chocolate factory, where silky tablets and decadent bonbons are made. And of course, delight in tasting exquisite cocoa creations while selecting the perfect treats to take home.

Day 3. Trancoso

Trancoso, a tiny beach town, once a quaint fishing village near Praia do Espelho on Bahia's south coast, has transformed into a boho chic destination. Amid the lush Atlantic rainforest, eco-friendly pousadas and bohemian hotels now line its pristine beaches offering an idyllic retreat to relax and embrace the natural beauty of Brazil's northeastern coast surrounded by local flora and fauna

Shuttle Bus to Quadrado

Nestled on the northeastern coast of Brazil, Trancoso is a hidden gem that seamlessly blends rustic charm with sophisticated allure. Once a quaint fishing village, this picturesque town has transformed into a sought-after destination while retaining its eco-friendly appeal. Trancoso’s heart is the Quadrado, a large, grassy square fringed with colorful, historic fishermen’s cottages that now house chic boutiques, cozy cafes, and gourmet restaurants. At one end of the Quadrado stands the iconic whitewashed church, São João Batista, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Despite its growing popularity, Trancoso maintains a laid-back, bohemian vibe, attracting artists, surfers, and travelers seeking a tranquil escape. The town’s unique blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and modern amenities makes it an irresistible destination for those looking to experience the best of Brazil. Please note this is not a guided tour but only a Shuttle Service from the beach club where guests will debark and the city; Drive time is about 45 min each way.

Day 4. Abrolhos Archipelago

The Abrolhos Archipelago, comprises five islands within the Abrolhos Marine National Park, off Bahia. Only one island, Siriba, is open to visitors, offering rich biodiversity, extensive coral reefs and serving as a humpback whale breeding ground. It's also a habitat for leatherback and loggerhead sea turtles, as well as threatened bird species, such as masked and brown boobies, frigatebirds, red-billed tropicbirds, sooty terns and brown noddies

Island Walk and Snorkeling

Prepare to be mesmerised by the incredible biodiversity of Abrolhos Island. Guided by Abrolhos Marine Park experts, explore pristine landscapes and trek through lush terrain as you spot basking lizards, frigate birds and brown and white boobies. Then hop on a catamaran to snorkel in a vibrant natural pool, floating alongside colourful fish, corals and curious sea creatures, before fresh fruit and coffee.

Day 5. Day at sea

Sea days are rarely dull. Take the time to sit back and let the world go by. The ship’s observation decks provide stunning views of the passing ocean. A day at sea gives you the opportunity to mingle with other passengers and share your experiences of this incredible trip or head to our library which is stocked full of reference books. Get an expert’s view in one of our on-board lectures or perhaps perfect your photography skills with invaluable advice from our onboard professional photographers

Day 6. Buzios

Known as the St. Tropez of Brazil, this fashionable resort town attracts Rio's wealthy with its 23 breathtaking beaches tucked into coves along the coastline. Once a quaint fishing village, it now boasts fancy shops, boutiques, excellent restaurants and a European vibe. Don't miss trying some of the signature caipirinha cocktails

Climb aboard our charming open-air trolley and embark on a delightful journey through the breathtaking landscapes and hidden gems of Búzios. This 2.5-hour guided tour is the perfect way to soak in the town’s natural beauty, iconic beaches, and panoramic viewpoints, all from the comfort of a classic trolley. A scenic drive along Búzios’ most beloved beaches. Feel the ocean breeze and admire the colourful fishing boats and colonial charm that define this coastal paradise. Step off the trolley to take in sweeping views of the turquoise bay from this picturesque lookout. A perfect photo opportunity. Continue your ride past dramatic coastlines and lush hillsides, where the Atlantic meets rugged cliffs and secluded coves. Pause at this stunning viewpoint overlooking Forno Beach, known for its reddish sands and crystal-clear waters. A must-see for nature lovers and photographers. Enjoy a short break at Forno Beach, where you can sip a refreshing drink, browse local crafts, or simply relax by the sea.
